THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is Jesus.

It is His life, His death and His resurrection.  It is His power.  It is Him finding us, saving us and empowering us.  He is enough!  He saves us from the wrath of God.  He saves us from sin and a wasted existence.  He saves us into eternal life, now and for eternity with Him.

The Gospel is us receiving His gift of salvation; us becoming like Him.  The Gospel is us repenting of our sins, turning from our wicked ways, and bearing the fruit of His Holy Spirit in and through our lives.  We become like Him.

The Gospel is us serving Him with a life of purpose and adventure.  He is our King, our Lord, our Father and our Savior.  He is God and man at the same time.  He redeemed us and He owns us.  We are his slaves by choice.  We are not volunteers; that assumes the privilege of choice.   We are bond slaves owing only a debt of love and gratitude.  We can go nowhere else.  No one else has the words of life but Jesus.  We are captivated by Him and His love.

All of history is divided by His coming.  His cross divides all time.  All of history was preparing for His coming, His coming the first time to be born and live among us, and His second coming when He returns to rule and reign.

No one has imagined or dreamed of what God has prepared for us through His Son, Jesus.  We have our eyes fixed on Him.  We are waiting to see Him again.  As we wait we can’t help but share the good news with everyone.  This is the Gospel.
