Middle East Guest Speaker - Biblical Business

The meeting was opened with a brief review of the 2010 programme to date. Aspects covered were:

    * Our personal finances and living within a budget;
    * The meaning and role of money;
    * The deception of money and of “Super-spirituality” or living a dualistic life; and
    * The role of business in the Kingdom of God.

The primary emphasis at the Business Forum is to consider and to learn how to live with and use our money in ways that glorify God and in accordance with biblical teaching.

Volunteering at the hospital

Someone asked me what we get out of volunteering at a hospital during the strike and the question took me by surprise. I didn't realize I should expect something for bringing a meal, carrying oxygen for the tired mom of a sick child or having a conversation with a scared elderly lady on her way to an operation.

I asked this person how she would feel if she was in hospital and had to have a serious operation but there were no porters to take her to surgery on time.

Madagascar Outreach - What a victory!

Some events in my life spark memories. Others spark a joy that seems to rise up from my gut and make me want to shout and sigh at the same time. This outreach was one of these. Wow! What a victory!

Madagascar Outreach

Recently Tana City Church held its first-ever outreach – and that in its 11th year of existence! I’ve been part of many outreaches – in the early years of 3Ci, up into Africa, in France... but this was very different to most. Firstly, we decided to do it in order to bless and give back to the community around us; secondly, we decided to not have alter-calls at the end of evening; and thirdly, we wanted to provide food and drinks to everyone who arrived.

Peace in making decisions

Below is an acrostic that i have shared with many people around the world to help them know the will of God.
Two Pathways Prophecy

Two Pathways

As I was praying about the next season I felt strongly that what is coming is not a new season, but a whole new era. A time which is more significant than any other time on earth in terms of the church being shaken into the purposes of God. Seasons will merge as we move forward, just as the seasons on earth are being mixed up and weather patterns are surprising forecasters, so the church will begin to be unsettled as the winds of change begin to blow on all that is ‘known’.

Kamp Staaldraad 3

It was that time of the year again where a group of young men built up the courage and determination to experience, endure, and ultimately be transformed at a camp that has become a highlight on the calendar of nearly every 3ci high school boy. It was time for Kamp Staaldraad 3! This year the famous, as well as the infamous camp, took place yet again at the Maretlwane Lodge in the Magaliesburg Mountains. The word ‘lodge’ might sound most appealing and luxurious, which is the experience some most certainly had. Unfortunately those that experienced luxury were not us, the boys...
