Dialogue on holiness - Poem

“Lord! Why is it that holiness seems to escape
Even them that really try hard, fight and wait
For that serene moment of instant transformation
That will bring about a final state of purification?

We have all tried our utmost to live a holy life
Only to find that we all end up with this strife!
Now matter how hard we fight, wrestle and try
We never seem to be holy enough, to comply!”

“Holiness is not by your efforts you will see
Because, of my Father you are hidden in Me
And He made Me to be your gift of wisdom,
    righteousness, redemption and sanctification

When a soul is washed in My blood he is clean
And only the holiness of My blood can be seen
No effort on your part can ever help or improve
The efficacy that our Father decided to behoof”

“Now, what will happen if we sin?” We may ask?
“Will we still be regarded by Father as set apart?”
Or, “What holy work must now be done by me,
That I may again become holy and totally free?”

“Have You not written, ‘Be ye Holy, for I am Holy’
What then shall I do that I may do Your will only?”
“My will is that you repent and place your trust
In My power to cleanse and forgive by My blood!”

“It is not My will that you earn your own holiness
Apart from that which I provided in righteouness
My blood and my blood alone will for ever avail
And your faith in all that I have done must prevail!”

    THANK YOU LORD!
