    A blessed time for all....

What a blast we had on Saturday 13 March!

We invited 34 orphans from two orphanages in Hammanskraal to a party on the 3ci property. When they arrived and saw the jumping castle, they knew exactly what to do!
The morning was filled with laughing and talking, hugs and holding hands, playing on swings, slides and in sand pits, face painting, nail manicuring  (girl stuff), ball games, and clouds of bubbles.
A fabulous spread was laid out for them, including cup cakes, popcorn, chocolates, cold drinks, jelly, boerewors rolls, ice-cream, cake and and and....

    What did they see?

About 60 beautiful 3ci-ers, Wendy, her monkey and a DVD.

    Were they blessed?

We certainly think so, but more than anything, they blessed us! Each person from 3ci who was there was grinning from ear to ear, and the sense of the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and His peace was so evident during the day!

Seven of the orphans were also invited to spend Saturday night with 3ci families. They came to church the next day and had Mc Donald's on the trip back to Hammanskraal on Sunday afternoon. Who would ever have thought that mixing with "poor orphans" could be so much fun? A lot of us found that we could respond to the message of RT Kendall in his exposition of James by caring for these children. We were surprised at how easy it was to love them and to take them into our hearts and homes.

Those who have a heart for social care, Nikki-Dee Hudson has told us about a little boy who needs our help:

His name is Jason, he is 10 and he has never been to school. His mother claimed he was autistic but tests have proven otherwise. He is severely neglected, with rotten teeth and in need of a speech therapist.
His social workers have found a school that is willing to take him in, but not until he is removed from his current home. The social workers are looking for a good home to place him in, but nobody wants him because of his level of neglect.
Please could you add this to a prayer list! Or Contact Nikki-Dee Hudson for more information.
